This drawing has some history. First it was made for a request, for a tarot card. There were not many cards left to do and the request was kinda "urgent" so I had not much time to make a choice; we agreed that I would draw the "nine of coins" card. Fine.
I figured that I would draw a wealthy guy resting after having worked hard to earn his now confortable life, to match somehow the meaning of the tarot card.

But... a few days after I began the drawing, sketch and line done, I discovered that the card had actually been given to another person, without even a word to me. Ni~iice !

Seems there was a misunderstanding between the two guys organizing the project, whatever. My "help" wasn't needed anymore so I dropped the drawing for a while.

But after a few more days, I decided to continue this drawing and eventually make something out of it, even if the "nine of coins" theme had no particular interest for me anymore.
So I transformed the drawing into a "Before Heredity" (see [link]) - pseudo-indian atmosphere and gave Meïji's face to the character... and *tadaaaa* there it is XD.

But I dont know if Jieyi has really honestly gotten the book the rest of the way together yet ;___; You should write her since I asked her and she said she was willing to add in the ones like this into extra pages in the artbook. I really am SO sorry about everything but I'm very very very happy you finished because its just....really really REALLY beautiful
