Yep it's that time of the year again.
I didn't make this meme last year but have the enriched 2015 version !
Every year it's striking me how little I improve ; how little I evolve, even in my tastes, the themes and subjects of my drawings, the way I use colors.
It would be different if I had the time and energy to get out of my comfort zone once in a while, but turns out I don't and actually, I have less and less.
Drawing is not easy for me to begin with, it's a (laborious) mean to a (dubious) end much more than a satisfaction in itself, so I have to get at least some gratification out of every try or I'd just stop doing it altogether. Which is why I tend to stick to the very few things I kind of know how to draw, in an endless and quite frustrating cycle.
Still, there are some pieces in this selection that I'm still proud of somehow. I'm happy with how this year's Meïji's portrait turned out, for instance.
My goals for 2016 are to keep working on this "less cartoony style" that I tried on said Meïji's drawing, with more detailed, textured pictures ; and also to get back to traditionnal coloring sometimes. It'd be great if I drew more MPA pages too because the pace is really too slow and I'd like to finish this project SOMEDAY before I retire.

Je viens de réaliser que je suis quasi sûre de m'être servie de ta version 2006 de Underwater love comme modèle pour un fan'art de Zoro et Sanji, à moins que tu te sois toi même servie d'un modèle dans mon dessins ils ont exactement la même pose et j'avais pris une image de référence sur internet donc il se peut que ce soit celle là xD coincidence ou bien je suis tellement en amour de ton travail que le monde me ramène à lui :')
